General Prompting GuIdelines
Learn to master prompt creation for MidJourney by blending artistic vision with specific technical settings to achieve precise visual outcomes.
Starting with the Subject:
Begin your prompt with a well-defined subject to direct the focus of the image.
Example: “A serene mountain landscape at sunset.”
Adding Descriptive Elements:
Include detailed descriptors to enhance style, mood, and visual accuracy.
Example: Add “vibrant autumn colors, high detail” for texture and seasonal context.
Incorporating Artistic Influences:
Use references to artistic styles or famous artists to guide the aesthetic direction.
Example: “Inspired by Claude Monet’s impressionist style.”
Understanding Technical Parameters:
Version (–v): Specifies the MidJourney version to use, impacting the AI’s style and capabilities.
Example: “–v 6” ensures the latest features and improvements are applied.
Aspect Ratio (–ar): Dictates the width and height of the image, crucial for framing the subject.
Example: “–ar 16:9” for a wide landscape view.
Quality (–q): Adjusts the rendering quality, affecting detail and clarity.
Example: “–q 2” for high-quality output without using maximum resources.
